In 2004, my buddy and I were on a security post in Ar Ramadi. We hit record on a cheap tape recorder. We started talking trash to pass the time. We called it “Smoking n Joking.” It was our escape. It was the only way to mentally check out of the warzone and just be human for a few minutes.
Two decades later, the mission hasn’t changed. We’re still here to help you escape the daily grind. We help you dodge the working parties. We offer the kind of unfiltered conversations you can only find in the smoke pit.
But now, we’ve got a website.
We’re Live. No Working Party Required.
We launched this site for one reason: to give this community a home base. Whether you’re a service-disabled vet, active duty, or a civilian who just appreciates real talk, this is your spot.
